Eye Lounge Artist Collective presents "Consumerism" Featured Exhibit for the month of December
“Consumerism” will be open from 6 to 9 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays through December.
Members of Eye Lounge Artist Collective examine what does it mean to be a “consumer,” why we consume and the consequences of our consumption. The exhibition consists of artworks made of recycled materials, as well as traditional art materials. It is an exploration of what and how we consume our world. The culture of the 21st century encourages us to consume everything in greater quantities without regard for how this affects resources and future consumers.
Opening Reception: 6 to 9 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6.
Eye Lounge Artist Collective, located at 419 E. Roosevelt in downtown Phoenix, was founded in 1999 as an artist-driven venue for contemporary art in Phoenix. For more information on Eye Lounge Artist Collective, visit www.eyelounge.com.
