Westgate Partners with City of Glendale to Offer Art Gallery & Community Classes
Westgate Entertainment District and the City of Glendale have finalized a year-long partnership to bring Glendale residents and Westgate patrons a free community art gallery and art, fitness and recreational classes.
iStar Financial, owners of Westgate, are providing the city a 3,050-square-foot retail space next to Cold Stone Creamery, at no cost, that is valued at more than $100,000 annually. The space houses Gallery Glendale at Westgate, an art gallery featuring art galleries, classes and activities open Fridays and Saturdays from 6-9 p.m.
The partnership includes the gallery and an array of classes and activities.

ARBITRARY ARTS EXHIBIT & ACTIVITIES
Arbitrary Arts will be featured during the months of June & July at Gallery Glendale at Westgate, bringing art exhibits, interactive hands-on activities and free creative arts classes open to the public. Arbitrary Arts will also feature performing artists, musicians, live painting and collections of one-of-a-kind artworks and crafts to view and purchase.
Arbitrary Arts is a non-profit organization dedicated to building and supporting an expansive community of local artists, whose primary purpose is to improve lives and find or create professional opportunities for its members. The organization is motivated by the common goal of creating a world that is more pleasing to the eye and supportive of the creative fields, as well as more compassionate, progressive and community-focused overall.
The gallery is located at 9380 W. Westgate Blvd., and below is the schedule of activities for the month of May at the Gallery. Art is Alive at Gallery Glendale at Westgate Arbitrary Arts artists have been heating up the gallery by engaging the public in creative activities during the hot months. Over 1,700 visitors/participants in June! The buzz continues in July!.

Arbitrary Arts Finale Extravaganza – Friday, July 25, 6:00-9:00 p.m., Arbitrary Arts artists say goodbye for now to Gallery Glendale with an extravaganza. The evening will feature: Live painters; belly dancers; musicians, including i.am.hologram and DJ Javi; community painting; local vendors' wares and much more!

Phoenix Artists Guild
These guild members produce and display their art at events and exhibits featuring juried fine art, including two and three-dimensional pieces. They share their knowledge and experiences through exhibits, workshops and art classes. Many of the members also participate in community outreach projects.
Yes, I Can! Paint Class
Every Tuesday from 6 to 8:30 p.m. - Preregistration required
Your instructor will guide you step-by-step in this fun and exciting art class as you complete a painting in just one class! No experience is required. Just come as you are and leave as an artist. Learn the basics of guitar playing, warm-up techniques, finger-strengthening exercises, tuning, proper hand positions, posture, note-reading, finger-picking, simplified chords, and how to play simple songs step by step.
