An Amazing Gift Thanks to your generosity, in the 2007-08 award cycle, $179,000 was distributed to 18 non-profit human service agencies to fund programs and services for Glendale residents in need during the coming year. Residents donated more than $100,000 and the BHHS Legacy Foundation, provided $59,611, its 50-cents match for every dollar donated. The checks were presented at a special reception hosted by the Glendale Bead Museum. Glendale utility customers also have the option to donate $1 per month on their utility bill. What if I don’t live in Glendale? Many people who do not live in Glendale donate to From the Heart. Our largest donor to date was a Phoenix resident who visited Glendale’s downtown area, read about the program, and liked it enough to send us a $500 check.
