Field Operations - Equipment Management |
From fire trucks and police cars, to garbage trucks and street sweepers, the Equipment Management Division provides preventive maintenance and repairs for the city’s automotive and equipment fleet, now totaling more than 1,300 vehicles/pieces of equipment.
What We Do
The Equipment Management division provides internal fleet and equipment services out of a 70,000 square-foot facility, with state-of-the-art machinery and design including a two-story, 7,000-square-foot parts warehouse, two wash bays and a barrel-vaulted roof that evokes the appearance of a blimp hanger. The roomy area allows mechanics to pull large hydraulic cylinders from trucks and move them from one end of the shop to the other through the use of two 5-ton bridge cranes.
