FREE LANDSCAPE CLASSES FOR HOMEOWNERS
Provided by the Glendale Water Conservation Office
Meet at the Glendale Main Library

September 30th – Understanding Your Landscape Watering System
Get the basics on understanding how your drip irrigation and sprinklers work
and how to water properly. (6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Large Meeting Room)

October 9th – All About Grass
How to care for and maintain your lawn with tips on proper installation and
watering of winter lawns. (6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., Large Meeting Room)

October 29th – Landscape Plants for Small Spaces
Learn how to create an exciting landscape with interesting, yet appropriate,
plants for those small spaces. (6:30 – 8:30 p.m., Auditorium)

November 1st – Saturday Landscape Workshops
(Outdoor Classroom in the Glendale Xeriscape Demonstration Garden – south
entrance of the Library)

  • 8:00 9: 15 a.m. – Walk and Talk in the Garden
    Ask garden author, Mary Irish, gardenrelated questions during a guided garden walk.

  • 9:15 10:30 a.m. – Cactus Care 101
    Learn about proper cacti and succulent care from the Cactus Doctor.

  • 10:30 11:45 a.m. – Pruning of Trees and Shrubs
    Learn proper timing and techniques for pruning your trees and shrubs from Jo Miller, Water Conservation Program Manager
