| Community Partnerships - Housing Division Mission Statement The Community Housing Division is responsible for addressing the rental housing needs of Glendale residents who cannot afford housing in the private market. Through the administration of a federal Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program and a Conventional Public Housing program, the division helps eligible residents to secure safe, decent and sanitary housing. For the 16th consecutive year, Glendale’s Community Housing Division has been rated as a high performer by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Fiscal Year ending June 2009.
Public Housing:

Currently, the Community Housing Division is accepting applications for public housing. For more information on the application process, click here.
Applications are only taken by telephone, every other Tuesday between 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. For a calendar of dates when the housing application line will be operational, click here.

Glendale’s Community Housing Division earns high performer status
For the 14th consecutive year, Glendale’s Community Housing Division has been rated as a high performer by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for Fiscal Year ending June 2007.
HUD evaluates public housing program success based on a thorough review of all aspects of program administration including financial and program management, property condition, and resident satisfaction.
Glendale’s Community Housing Division manages 155 apartment homes in three rental communities, offering low income families safe, sanitary, decent, and affordable housing. |
