| Bethany Home Road Realignment Project |
The realignment of Bethany Home Road is complete and traffic is traveling on the new alignment. Striping for Bethany Home Road is also now complete. Construction continues to take place off the roadway along Bethany Home road from 75th to 83rd avenues to complete sidewalk and curb improvements, landscaping and work on the pedestrian path. The pedestrian path will begin at the existing path at 81st Avenue, head west and travel under the new Bethany Home Road alignment. At the pedestrian bridge, it will go over the canal and meet existing trails on the other side of the canal. |

| This project was originally scheduled to be complete in October 2007, however, it has progressed ahead of schedule. |

| Park & Ride Facility |
The City of Glendale recently broke ground on a new Park and Ride facility at 99th and Glendale. This facility is a “green” design and the first environmentally friendly structure of its kind.
The environmentally-friendly facility will have various green engineering designs that will make this facility environmentally friendly including a street surface that will act as a sponge (say goodbye to puddles and urban heat). This project is one of the first large projects in the state utilizing this science.
