Councilmember Lauren Tolmachoff was elected in November 2014 and began her term on December 9, 2014. In February 2015, Councilmember Tolmachoff was appointed to the National League of Cities’ Community and Economic Development Policy and Advocacy Committee. In August, 2016, she was appointed to Glendale’s Government Services Committee where she served a one-year term as Chair of the Committee from August 2015 to August 2016. In November 2015, Councilmember Tolmachoff was appointed to serve as Glendale’s representative on the Board of Directors for the Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority (RPTA) and Valley Metro Rail. Councilmember Tolmachoff was appointed Treasurer for Valley Metro RPTA in June, 2016.
Lauren has been a Realtor® since 2004 following a successful career in banking. She is a Realtor® Champion and voting member of the Government Affairs and Public Policy Committee of The West Maricopa Association of Realtors, a member of the Women’s Council of Realtors, past president of her Rotary Club and a volunteer for the 100 Club of Arizona.
Councilmember Tolmachoff and her family have deep roots in Glendale. The first Tolmachoff’s arrived in 1911 and helped Glendale grow into a thriving community. She is committed to restoring Glendale’s financial stability and reputation as a forward thinking leader in the West Valley.
Lauren moved to Arizona with her family in 1974, at the age of 14. She graduated from Thunderbird High School and attended Phoenix College. Lauren has been married to her husband, Andy, a Glendale native, for 27 years.
