The glass-paneled railing is approximately 115 feet long and reaches from the bottom of the stairway to the second floor balcony in the lobby of the Adult Center.  Sheng, who was born in Shaghai, China, works and lives in San Francisco.  Originally trained in traditional Chinese ink painting, her work often reflects the spirit of her native culture.
