Volunteer Opportunities at the Foothills Branch Library

Teen Volunteers -- Foothills Branch Library welcomes teen volunteers and we have three types of volunteering opportunities available:

Ongoing Volunteers - These volunteers must be at least 14 years old and be willing to commit to volunteering on a regular schedule of 2 hours every other week. Volunteers assist with program preparation and participation, shelving materials, organizing materials, computer sign-ups and other tasks. These volunteers will also ‘adopt’ a section in the Youth Department.

If this volunteering experience sounds right for you, click here for an application or pick one up at the Youth Desk. Upon completion, applications should be submitted at the Youth Desk. Applicants will be contacted in the order in which their applications were received and as openings become available. A short interview and a training session will then be scheduled. Please email Kim Huff or call 623-930-3852 for more information.

Volunteer Greeters-These teen volunteers must be at least 14 years old and be willing to commit to volunteering on a regular schedule of 2 hours every other week.  Greeters greet patrons as they enter the library. They will be positioned inside the main lobby of the library, across from our Book Sale area and will be helping with check out and answering basic questions. Teens interested in being a Greeter must be outgoing and personable.
