Glendale Police Warn Public of Attempted Stranger Abduction

The Glendale Police Department is alerting the public to an attempted stranger abduction of a young girl. This incident happened last night, 4/24, at about 8:30 p.m. in the area of 59th Avenue and Bethany Home Road. Fortunately, the young girl was able to break free from her attacker and run home.

The suspect is described as a White or Hispanic male between 30 and 40 years old with a thin build and short, dark hair.

The Glendale Police Department would like to caution parents of young children to watch them closely and be alert for suspicious strangers wherever children are playing. Children should be discouraged from being outside alone at night and told to be alert when walking to and from school.
The matter is still under investigation, therefore no further details will be released at this time...
