GLENDALE POLICE ARREST SEXUAL ABUSE SUSPECT

Members of the Glendale Police Department’s Adult Sex Crimes Unit were able to develop several leads as a result of evidence taken from the scene during the crime which occurred on Wednesday, January 2nd.

The suspect, Pedro Lopez Aguirre, was identified and located at a house in Peoria where he was arrested on an unrelated misdemeanor warrant.

During his interview he confessed to attacking the female and taking evidence from the scene of the attack. Aguirre was booked for felony sexual abuse, strong armed robbery and other charges.

Seized evidence may link the suspect to other cases in the valley, but at this time it is unknown if he is involved in any other crimes.
