Glendale Recreation
After School Program
at the Glendale Community Center!
G.R.A.S.P., is a supervised,
drop-in recreation program for Glendale youth, grades 1st through 8th open from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.. Trained staff provides a variety of fun and educational programs including study time, indoor/outdoor activities, clubs, games, mini tournaments and guest speakers. Participants can register at the G.R.A.S.P. sites noted below during the first two weeks of school. When registering, proof of residency, such as a utility bill, vehicle registration or drivers license must be provided, otherwise the non-resident supply fee will apply. After the initial two-week registration period, all registrations must be completed at the Glendale Parks and Recreation office at 5850 W. Glendale Ave., M–F 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Per Semester Supply Fee – Glendale Resident, $35 . Non-resident, $45. For more information, please call 623-930-2700.
Teen Programs
Begins again August 3!
6 - 9 p.m., Monday - Friday
Ages 13-17 • FREE
This teen program features break dancing, hip hop, exercise, girl’s group, computer use and Teen Council, just to name a few. Also, Arizona Call-a-Teen Youth Resources (ACYR) provides free job placement, career exploration, post-secondary education and tuition assistance as well as (GED) Classes.
Teen Money Management Series
FREE!
Monday - Wednesday, August 10-12, 6:30 - 8 p.m.
Topics include spending wisely, working, budgeting, the power of savings, writing checks and balancing a checkbook, cost of owning a car, auto insurance, saving for college, credit cards, borrowing money, protecting
against fraud, credit reports and more!

YWCA Senior Programs
8 a.m. - 3 p.m., Monday - Friday
Features FREE activities including arts ‘n’ crafts, sewing, health and beauty, bingo, billiards, field trips and more!
The YWCA Senior Lunch Program offers hot meals for adults age 60+, Monday through Friday, 12-12:30 p.m. (Suggested contribution is $2 or whatever you can afford.) Please call 623-930-4700,
