Glendale Parks and Recreation is Nationally Accredited.
CAPRA provides quality assurance and quality improvement of accredited park and recreation agencies throughout the United States. CAPRA is the only national accreditation of park and recreation agencies, and is a valuable measure of an agency’s overall quality of operation, management, and service to the community.
NOTE: The basketball and tennis courts at Sands Park will be closed approximately two weeks beginning February 15 for renovations to include new surfacing, posts, nets and more.

This neighborhood park is over 5 acres and is located on Orangewood Avenue between Northern and Glendale avenues. The park surrounds Fire Station #151 and is also just south of the Elsie McCarthy Sensory Garden.
