Open: 6 a.m. - 10 p.m.

This community park will be a total of 40 acres with only the first phase, approximately 12 acres, of the park completed.

The public safety themed playground area provides hours of fun and mind stimulation for all ages. Over 200 trees provide shady areas to have a picnic or just cool off to relax. Birthday parties or any kind of family get togethers can be celebrated in the three covered ramadas.

Northern Horizon Park includes:

  • Three ramadas
  • Open turf
  • Dog park
  • Bicycle safety stations
  • 30-space parking lot
  • Public safety themed playground
    (ADA Accessible)
  • Bicycle Safety Stations

Bicycle Safety Stations
Another feature the park is a bicycle safety component focusing on teaching young cyclists, ages 5 to 14, bicycle safety, but everyone will benefit from going through the program. Bicycle safety stations are located throughout the park to offer a self-paced bicycle safety clinic. The stations feature bike safety inspections and safety information about the rules of the road. Much of these features are interactive and provide valuable information for safe bike riding, including a miniature "rock dodge" course set up in the park. Other information includes bike maintenance and helmet fitting. Click here for the station information and map. (pdf)
