63rd Avenue
& Butler Park

This new park is a 5-acre city neighborhood park site. Amenities or improvements include open turf, basketball court, concrete pathway, age appropriate play structure with shade, large picnic area and natural shade.

Park is complete and grand opening is being schedule.

Sunset Ridge Park

This project includes the development of a 10-acre joint city/school neighborhood park site with the Pendergast Elementary School District to include neighborhood amenities. Through the master planning process, the public placed a high value on open turf, basketball court, concrete pathway, tree house theme play structure with shade, large picnic area, educational signage for various species of trees and natural shade.

Project is completed and grand opening is currently being scheduled.

Older Park Renovation
Bicentennial Park, Butler Park, Sands Park
This project includes the renovation of an older park as prioritized by the Parks and Recreation Commission. Upgrades may include turf and landscape, renovated irrigation systems, sport court repairs, new playgrounds with shade covers, pathways, picnic ramadas and security lighting.

The individual park improvements are being prioritized with neighborhood requests and turned over to the consultants to draft final plans and contract documents. Construction is expected in the fall.

Montara Park
64th Ave. & Becker Ln.

The asphalt tennis court at Montara Park was removed. It had cracked so severely it was impractical to repair. The project consists of a new post-tension concrete tennis court, net posts, net, fencing and a drinking fountain. Completed.
