Murphy Park is located in downtown Glendale and is the site of many of the city's special events including, Glendale Glitters, Summer Band Concerts, Jazz & Blues Festival and the Chocolate Affaire. This neighborhood park is 2-1/2 acres with the Velma Teague Branch Library nestled in the middle.

The park is a special place to visit in the evenings from the day after Thanksgiving until mid-January with over 1.5 million lights for the holiday season.
