Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center

The Foothills Recreation & Aquatics Center offers a variety of classes along with a fitness area with free weights and machines, an indoor jogging/walking track; open gymnasium hours, basic aerobics, indoor racquetball courts, a rock climbing wall and scheduled lap swimming. Monthly, annual and punch passes with special pricing for seniors, families and students are available. For more information, click here.


Glendale Adult Center

The Glendale Adult Center offers morning exercise programs along with a fitness center. The fitness center includes free weights along with machines.  For more information, click here.

ESCAPE THE HEAT HALF MARATHON TRAINING

Interested in running a half marathon? This is a 16-week build up to the Aug. 17th America’s Finest City Half Marathon in beautiful San Diego, California. Run slow? Don’t worry about speed. By the start of this program participants should be comfortable running 10 to 15 miles a week, at 3 to 5 miles an outing without stopping. Group distance runs will be organized at 8 a.m. Sundays beginning April 27. (Meet at the Foothills Center). We will be running on the indoor, air conditioned track if it’s too hot outside. T’AI CHI RULER

Tai Chi ruler is an extremely rare exercise. Movements are used in conjunction with a wooden rod (ruler) held lightly between the hands. Movements are restorative and builds the body’s core and increase flexibility and coordination. The gentle nature of the beginning exercises can be done by students of any age.
