Valley-wide project seeks applicants, volunteers to paint homes

Have a family or group looking for a great volunteer project that’s sure to be just as rewarding as it is fun? Well grab your drop cloth and get your scrubs on for the Rock & Roll Paint-a-Thon!

The Main Event

The Rock & Roll Paint-A-Thon program, which is presented by Rebuilding Together and Freescale Semiconductor, aims to help those who are unable to paint their homes. The program is a community-based effort designed to paint homes of applicants who are disabled or 60 years of age or older, have limited financial resources and are unable to do the work themselves.

For residents who want to help paint homes, Glendale’s Community Volunteer Program is looking for volunteers to participate in the Oct. 28 Rock & Roll Paint-A-Thon. Residents can form their own team or contact the Community Volunteer Office to become apart of another team. Individuals, families, businesses, churches, schools, social service and civic groups are welcome.

It is expected that the teams of volunteers will paint more than 100 homes total across the Valley.
