Learn About Medicare’s New Prescription Drug Coverage

Join federal health officials Jan. 6 for a free educational event at the Glendale Adult Center

When it comes to navigating your healthcare coverage, information is the first step to being able to take full advantage of your benefits. The New Year brings about new policies in the world of Medicare prescription drug coverage. Find out what you need to know this Friday at the Glendale Adult Center as the city welcomes Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt for an informational community meeting.

The program will begin at 9 a.m. and will include comments by Secretary Leavitt followed by a question-and-answer period. Participants will then have the opportunity to visit the Mobile Office Tour—a 75-foot bus used to spread awareness about Medicare's new prescription drug coverage—and sign up for the new prescription drug plan.
