A Spooky Good Time!
Ghosts, ghouls, pumpkins and fun await at this year’s GlendOberfest on Oct. 31
The cool and comforting crisp feeling in the air means one thing—fall is officially here! And what better way to celebrate than with family, friends, fun and a ghoulishly good time. One of Glendale’s great fall traditions is back, this year with a new name and new venue. Formerly called the Fall Festival and held at the Sahuaro Ranch softball fields, this year the event, entitled GlendOberfest, will take place at the Sahuaro Ranch Historic Area, adjacent to Sahuaro Ranch Park, at 59th Avenue and Mountain View Road.
The Perfect Backdrop
The ranch, which dates back to 1886, will be the perfect spooky atmosphere for a fun-filled evening for all ages. The event will include:
- carnival games
- arts and crafts
- the Great Pumpkin Race
- an EggHaunt
- the Tent of Terror
- inflatables
- candy!
In addition, there will be a hay ride, Mad Science, pumpkin patch photo area and a costume parade.
Volunteers Needed!
Volunteers are needed to help staff the event, as well as sponsors to help make it happen. For more information, contact Jen Godbehere at 623-930-2042.
