What You’ll Learn
9 a.m. - History of the Garden: Few Valley gardens have a unique and extensive history like the Glendale Xeriscape Demonstration Garden. Go back in time and marvel at the garden's significant transformation over the years with this one-hour presentation.
10 a.m. - Walking Tour of the Garden: Take a morning stroll through the Glendale Xeriscape Demonstration Garden with Glendale Water Conservation staff. We'll take a close-up look at some of the unique adaptations that enable desert plants to survive in arid climates. Participants are encouraged to wear close-toed shoes during the walking tour, which will cover approximately 1/4-mile of the garden's pathways.
