July 4th Celebration Traffic Tips
How to get around during the holiday festivities
Fireworks, hometown fun, food, friends and celebration—Glendale’s Hometown 4th of July is full of the important summer spectacular details. But, traffic officials want to make sure Glendale drivers don’t get held up on the road.
Make your trip to the celebration a little easier by following these traffic tips:
- Arrive early and expect heavy traffic volumes.
- There will be no traffic restrictions until 7 p.m., with the exception of 63rd Avenue, which will be closed between Olive and Mountain View from noon until midnight.
At the conclusion of the event:
- All Glendale Community College exits onto Olive Avenue will be routed westbound
- The GCC exit at Vogel onto 59th Avenue will be routed southbound
- GCC/Sahuaro Ranch exits at Via Gaucho and Mountain View onto 59th Avenue will be routed northbound
- Sahuaro Ranch exits onto 63rd Avenue will be routed northbound or westbound on Mountain View
