Get your fill of skating tricks, art and music at the ‘When the Sun Goes Down’ Glendale Sk8 Park event

Check out the work of some of the Valley’s best skaters, graphic artists and musicians Friday, June 30, as the extremely popular Union Hills Classic unleashes a new event—the When the Sun Goes Down skate fest, music fest and art expo.

The fun begins at 5 p.m., and the event runs until 10 p.m.

What’s in Store

Come watch the competition as the best in skateboarding and in-line skate throw down in three different divisions:

• Division 1
  Sk8boards - Best Trick “Street” or “Vert,” featuring two 45-second runs
  
  
• Division 2
  In-Line - Best Trick “Street” or “Vert,” featuring two 45-second runs
  
  
• Division 3
  Shop Challenge: five-member teams and one volunteer judge required, shop shirts required for competitors, 5-minute team jam

Art and Music

The Music Expo will feature performances by four local bands, and the Art Expo will showcase local artists’ work in one of two categories: Display Artwork and Sk8Board Graphic Design.
