Where to Ride
The new Glendale Bike Map is now available
Your two-wheeler’s raring to go, but you still need a good route. No need to worry. Glendale’s new bike map is ready to guide you on your bicycle journey.
Featuring a combination of street and off-street paths throughout Glendale, the map has descriptions of the City’s newest linear park paths at Skunk Creek, Thunderbird Paseo and the Grand Canal. It also displays more than 63 miles of on-street bike routes and bike lanes.
On the Map
As an added measure, the map offers information on safe bicycling, Arizona bike laws and using bikes on buses. You’ll also find contact information for local bicycling clubs and organizations.
The cover artwork is by artist Taliah Lempert, who specializes in drawing and painting bicycles, and it highlights different sections of the map. Click here to view the map online (PDF) or call the Transportation Department at (623) 930-2940 to request to have one mailed to you. Maps can also be found at City of Glendale libraries and many local bike shops.

- Wear brightly colored clothing.
- Make eye contact with motorists to make certain they have seen you.
- Drink enough water to stay hydrated.
- Prevent and protect your bike from theft by locking it up. Take a picture of it and keep your receipt and bike serial number in a safe place.
