GO History
A little more than four years ago, Glendale voters approved Proposition 402, which dedicated a half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements and created the city’s GO Transportation Program. Several of the projects funded through the GO Transportation Program will be highlighted in the 2006 annual brochure, soon to be received by Glendale residents.
Considerable progress has been made in expanding transit services, enhancing traffic flow and safety on Glendale streets and at intersections, and further developing bicycle and pedestrian facilities throughout the city. Many additional improvements are scheduled for construction during the next two years. These projects will be featured at both public events and in the annual brochure.
Residents are encouraged to attend one or both of these events. For more information on Glendale’s transportation program, leave a message on the transportation information line at (602) 648-2417, or log onto the City’s web site at www.glendaleaz.com/transportation/goprogram.cfm. |
