The collection also includes children’s, educational titles and a wide range of non-fiction topics including business, history and self-help.
How It Works Getting started is easy. Just visit the library’s Web site, install the free software and then browse the collection to select desired titles. When ready, check out materials by entering your Glendale library card number. The materials will be downloaded to your home computer. Once downloaded, they can be transferred to a portable device or burned directly to CD (in the case of audio books). When the lending period is up, your digital books are automatically returned—no late books ever again! Digital books are compatible with most home computers. eBooks (digital text-based versions of books) can be read on PCs, MACs, PDAs and Smartphones. Downloaded Audiobooks (digital versions of traditional audio books on tape or CD) can be enjoyed on your PC or on hundreds of portable WMA/MP3 players. Audiobooks can be burned to CD and listened to in the car or on any standard CD player. Details Visit the digital library 24 hours a day at www.glendaleaz.com/library or call (623) 930-3531. To provide this service, the Glendale, Apache Junction, Chandler, Phoenix, Scottsdale and Tempe public libraries have joined together to create the Greater Phoenix Digital Library. |
