Playing It Safe!
Get ready for the 2006 Valley Hispanic Bomberos Health and Safety Fair
Fire trucks are taking over Downtown Glendale this weekend as the 2006 Valley Hispanic Bomberos Health and Safety Fair kicks off.
The Valley Hispanic Bomberos is an advocacy group for Latino firefighters, and the health and safety fair is part of a community education effort to teach families and citizens the important rules about fire safety and more.
What’s in Store
While health and safety come first at this fair, there are also several fun activities that the entire family is sure to enjoy. Here are a few: |
- Fun and games for children of all ages
- Care 1st ‘Kids Zone’
- Glendale fire safety smoke house
- Performance by Ballet Folklorico Amistad
- Mariachis
- Phoenix Fire baby shots program
- Free health screenings
- Health safety information will be provided by several community outreach agencies
Event sponsors include the Valley Hispanic Bomberos, IAFF LOCAL 493, Glendale Fire Department, Phoenix Fire Department, Schaller Anderson, INC, Radio Campesina 88.3 FM and Care 1ST Health Plan Arizona.
