Get ready for a good time at Sahuaro Ranch Park for the 26th Annual Agriculture Day

Nothing says fun better than fiddlers, pie and tractor pulls. The 26th Annual Arizona Agriculture Day comes to Glendale this month in celebration of the state’s rich agricultural heritage. Committed to increasing the public’s awareness about Arizona Agriculture, this year’s theme is Agriculture in Action: Then & Now.

Family Fun

The event will be filled with activities for the entire family to enjoy with a variety of entertainment planned throughout the day. Fiddlers, a pie-eating contest and a cooking demonstration are just a few of the events taking place on the stages. There will also be agriculture equipment displays, and guests can plant a seed at a make-n-take activity.

Other features include a hydroponics display, milking barn, Arizona Grown Produce display, gardening tips and techniques, butter churning, blacksmith demonstrations, cotton ginning, corn grinding, candle dipping, antique tractor pull, various breeds of horses and cattle.

Attendees can enjoy a $1 lunch while supplies last. The dollar lunch represents the farmer and ranchers share, which is far less than the cost incurred by the farmer who grew the food. Lunch will be available while supplies last from 11 a.m. to 1:30 pm. Enjoy a BBQ beef sandwich, cole slaw, beans, hard boiled egg, vegetables, honey stick, fruit and milk all for $1.
