Legislature 101: Sign Up Now!

Glendale neighborhood leaders invited to attend upcoming legislative event 

Want to learn more about the state legislative process and how it affects neighborhoods? Sign up now to attend the 7th annual Neighborhood Day at the State Legislature, 9:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29 at the Capitol Mall, 1700 W. Washington St.

 Neighborhood involvement in the legislative process is important to the future of communities around the state. The cities of Glendale, Gilbert, Chandler, Surprise, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Tucson will host the event in conjunction with the League of Arizona Cities and Towns.

Event Details

Roundtrip transportation will be provided from City Hall to the Capitol, along with a free box lunch.

Neighborhood leaders will have the opportunity to meet Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs, state legislators, tour the Arizona House of Representatives and Senate, as well as learn about the 2006 neighborhood legislative agenda.

Due to limited space, attendees must register in advance. To register or request disability accommodations, call the Community Partnerships Office at (623) 930-2868 by March 22.  Materials can also be provided in alternate format, and sign language interpretation or assistive hearing devices are available.
