Water Smarts!
Check out these great courses on water conservation for youth ages 8-11
The Youth Department at the Foothills Branch Library has partnered with the Glendale Water Conservation Office to provide the Desert Explorers Series, a water education program for youth ages 8-11.
- Desert Survivors:
Wednesday, March 15, 4 p.m.
Foothills Branch Library
Come learn about the amazing adaptations that Sonoran desert plants and animals have in order to survive in a tough climate. Participants will try related activities at various stations.

- Water Wanderers:
Wednesday, April 19, 4 p.m.
Foothills Branch Library
Use a cool, 3-D model to follow water through the Valley of the Sun.
- Rainsticks:
Wednesday, May 17, 4 p.m.
Foothills Branch Library
Make your own rainstick from materials provided and perform in the Desert Explorers Rainstick Band. You'll also learn about the shared importance of water in all cultures.
