That Thursday Thing!
Have a little fun with your friends this month as Downtown Glendale’s That Thursday Thing celebrates International Friendship Month
February is all about friendship as Historic Downtown Glendale celebrates International Friendship Month during That Thursday Thing Feb.16.
Beads Galore!
Downtown visitors will be able to enjoy late-night shopping and dining and commemorate the evening with a make-and-take friendship bead bracelet from 6 to 9 p.m. Participants will start their journey at the Glendale Visitor Center, where they will pick up the beginning pieces of a bracelet along with a map listing all the locations offering the free beads. Visitors will end the evening at The Bead Museum, where they will assemble their bracelets.
‘That Thursday’ History
Happening on the third Thursday of every month through May, these unique and exciting Thursday soirees will fill the newly renovated Murphy Park and surrounding area with everything from live entertainment and delicious eats to late-night shopping treats thanks to extended hours at the area’s antique stores, specialty shops and boutiques. Each month, the event will have a different theme that will give shoppers and fun-seekers an extra reason to head to Downtown Glendale.
With the goal of filtering excitement throughout Historic Downtown, entertainment will be placed throughout the Catlin Court and Old Towne areas.
