The official Glendale City Seal hangs on the wall directly behind Mayor Scruggs' desk. Adopted in 1951, the seal is used only by the Mayor and City Council for official documents. It is only the second seal in the city's history. The first was created in 1910 and depicted a beet in recognition of Glendale's successful Beet Sugar Factory.
