GLENDALE, Ariz.– It’s hard to believe, but “The Unexplained” will begin its tenth season at 7 p.m. on June 5 at the Main Library, 5959 W. Brown St. Adult Programming Librarian Anne Owens has a captivating group of speakers in place, on Thursday evenings, running through August 28. The free programs are held on in the library’s auditorium.

Looking back over the last ten years, the topics have run the gamut from A-Z of strange, weird, unbelievable, could it be? and I wonder… This year, look for an eclectic mix of psychics, holistic healers, metaphysical practitioners, intuitives, spiritual coaches/counselors, and astrologers.

June 5 - “Is Your Pet Psychic?” with Brandy L. Howe, D.D., will kick the series off. According to Dr. Howe, scientific research is slowly beginning to substantiate the many anecdotal claims of pet owners who say their animals are psychic. Animals who find their owners after separations of hundreds of miles can be displaying a form of clairvoyance that parapsychologists have called “remote viewing.” This is the ability to see distant locations without the use of the five senses. June 12 - Psychic and hypnotist Lauralee Green presents “Dream Interpretation." Discover what your dreams mean. The hidden meanings are not all that mysterious. Green says that people are very individual in how they see themselves in the dream state. She will go over the signs and symbols received in dreams and how to intuitively interpret them. Taking a unique path to her current calling, Green has a degree in computer science and as employed as a main frame programmer for 10 years. She now works as a medical intuitive and does hypnosis, clairvoyant readings, Reiki energy healings, past life regressions, massage, empowerment coaching, and counseling.

June 19 -  “Archangels" is the topic. Sunny Dawn Johnston, a popular Valley psychic and spiritual teacher, will explain how to work with the archangels to bring healing, divine love, protection, purity, divine wisdom and peace into your life. Sunny has been featured on local and national television and radio shows and was an international radio show host last year. She is actively involved in the spiritual community and frequently conducts informational outreach work. A Glendale resident, Johnston is a certified medium, a certified spiritual counselor, a Reiki master and teacher and ordained minister.

June 26 - Angel Monachelli, a Reiki Master/Teacher and owner of Lightworkers Gifts, will talk about “Finding Your Wheel Within.” Monachelli says that in the sacred space of the Universal Medicine Wheel, people move rhythmically to balance their chi, or life energy, so that it flows throughout one’s whole being.   Individuals meditate in the top and bottom halves of the Universal Wheel to balance energies and to help release all that is no longer need in their lives.  Users of the Wheel affirm statements of choice about their lives and create energy “balls” of love, light and healing to support us in those choices.   Individuals experience the flow of all life through connecting with the elements in the Universal Wheel (Creator, Mother Earth, Male, Female, Father Sun, Grandma Moon, Water, Wind and Fire).

July 10 - Brandy Howe, D.D, returns with “The Fairy Connection.” Enjoy the magic, myth, fun and folklore of the fairies and other magical beings. Dr. Howe will look at fairy behavior, habitat, where to find them, how to attract them, along with the best times to meet them. Find out the best herbs, food, stones and essences that fairies like. Learn how to open up to the fairy energy within yourself and to discover the different approaches to working with the fairies. She will discuss fairy rituals and magical recipes. Dr. Howe has been in the natural health care field for almost 30 years.

July 17 - Spiritual counselor Sue Henley will discuss “Finding Your Purpose.” Many people feel lost and unsure of what they are supposed to be doing in their lives. Henley says that success is not a matter of idle chance – it’s a matter of making the right choices to help individuals move forward.  Finding what it is that makes one feel successful and fulfilled is sometimes a challenge. She adds that to find peace within ourselves, we first must find our purpose. This workshop is designed to help each participant find that purpose. Henley is an ordained Minister with the Universal Life Church, a Reiki Master, and an author.

July 24 - Terri Love, a transpersonal hypno-coach and ordained minister, will present “Spiritual Hypnosis.” Using guided, visualization meditation, participants will learn how to listen to their innate wisdom, their higher self, and remember their divine blueprint. Love said that through an empowering journey of altered states of consciousness, audience members will remember all that they are. As they remember, they will embrace that purest essence of love and light at the core of their being. Love is a Certified Hypnotherapist through the National Guild of Hypnotists and is also an ordained minister through Madonna Ministries.

July 31 - Katherine Metcalf, who shares insights through Tarot cards, astrology, soul guidance, angels and self help readings, will present “Astrological Career Guidance.” Is your child graduating from high school soon and not sure which direction to go? Are you seeking a new career path that is more fulfilling? If you answered “yes” to either of these questions, you should attend this lecture. Katherine Metcalfis an Intuitive Consultant andwill share how to use your natural talents to find the perfect career. She does this by using the information in your birth chart. August 7 - Angel Monachelli returns to offer “Dowsing.”  Learn the ancient art of dowsing – the ability to tap into the knowledge of the universe to receive answers to every day questions. Participants will learn about the basics of dowsing, selecting a pendulum, how to program and use a pendulum, dowsing history, protection and suggestions for use. Monachellii says, “If you have a pendulum, bring it.”

August 14 - “Develop Your Own Mediumship” will be held with The Astrology Store’s psychic medium, Dave Campbell. Do you have what it takes to develop your own mediumship powers? Campbell, also an ordained minister, will explain what is involved. He has spent most of his life studying metaphysics, Tarot, and Reiki, along with other fields, and continues to expand his knowledge and skills.

August 21 - Sunny Dawn Johnston has worked with thousands of people to guide them through many transitions in life. Over the past several years she has used her gifts as a psychic medium to help bring closure to families of missing and deceased loved ones. On the 21st, she is offering “Psychic Detectives” and will share her experiences and teach participants how to use their own natural abilities to connect with deceased energies.
