  Indiana University - The BFC/A is a repository of films and related materials by and about African Americans. Includes informative summaries and useful links to other black film resources.
  Center for Motion Picture Study - Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
  The Center for Motion Picture Study is the home of the Academy's Margaret Herrick Library and the Academy Film Archive. The Library is one of the most complete collections of film-related materials ever assembled. The Film Archive is one of the largest repositories of motion pictures in the United States.

  Origins of American Animation
  An informative paper from the Library of Congress Information Bulletin. Linked to the American Memory Exhibition, which includes MPEG, QuickTime and Real Player versions of film for the viewer to download and view.
  Pacific Film Archives Filmnotes Online
  Program notes and summaries of the history of world cinema as represented in the PFA's exhibition programs, documenting a wide range of types of films, including: foreign, independent, classic, and avant-garde cinema. This site contains over 12,000 subjective film notes written by PFA curators and staff between 1979 and June 1997.
  Women in Cinema: A Reference Guide
