Arizona Department of Health Services  - For those who want to know what’s going on in Arizona, this site features Influenza Information and Resources.

Maricopa County Department of Public Health   - County-wide support for flu preparedness starts here, with useful links to home, medical, business, school, and community resources.  The site also offers a link to STOP THE SPREAD ARIZONA, a campaign to educate residents about the flu’s potential impacts.

City of Glendale   - The City’s local Community Information and Referral Hotline [CIR] also links to County, State, and National preparedness information.                                                               

Arizona State University   - The University’s Pandemic Influenza Center provides comprehensive information and alerts for the student, parent, and general audience.

Arizona Department of Education  - Guidance to Schools on the New H1N1 Influenza Strain tops the list of what’s new. The education professional and interested parent can find documents/memos/forms/templates covering the Department’s response to a potential flu outbreak here.

National Resources

National Institutes of Health [NIH]   -  The Office of Research Services offers links to a variety of primary source documents related to H1N1 Flu.  The Library page also contains a listing of URL’s and information resources, plus an “Ask a Librarian” feature.

Flu.Gov - Flu.gov is a one-stop H1N1, avian, and pandemic flu information site sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services [HHS].  In this centralized site readers can find a comprehensive compilation of information which is updated daily.  This page is useful for those wanting to find out “everything” currently being discussed, including preparation, prevention, and treatment.  The site offers checklists for households, schools, community gathering places, and the workplace.

Centers for Disease Control [CDC] and National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health [NIOSH]   - A key site for businesses and employers, the focus here is occupational health issues.  Among the offerings are practical tools such as guidelines, a communications toolkit, and industry-specific information.  Posters, videos, and podcasts are available for free downloading.
