An Emmy-award-winning photojournalist, Larger’s broadcast career spans two states and two decades. Larger became a member of the Glendale 11 team in 2004 as a video production coordinator. He spent 10 years in Texas television before being recruited to the larger television market of Phoenix. He got his start in San Antonio (KENS) then moved to Bryan College Station (KBTX), Texas, and finally Austin (KVUE), Texas. In 1995, Larger was hired as a photographer at Channel 12 (KPNX), the NBC affiliate in Phoenix. His resume includes coverage of well-known historical events such as the Branch Davidian crisis in Waco, Texas, the Oklahoma City bombing and the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. A member of the National Photographers Association (NPPA), Larger has won four Emmys. He is also a graduate of the esteemed Poynter Institute for Ethics, the NPPA Workshop and the Phoenix Fire Department Certified Journalist Academy. |
