More Glendale 11 TV Programs Available at City Libraries
In March, Channel 11 programs became available for check out the all Glendale libraries. Now, six new shows are joining the lineup. Glendale residents can continue learning about their city by viewing locally made top-notch programs. Just drop into the library and check out the newest Glendale 11 TV programs.
The following shows are now offered for check out:
- “Glendale’s Got Game: Super Bowl 42”:
Experience the first Super Bowl in Glendale with this special one-hour documentary that celebrates the gridiron spirit that took over the city on February 3, 2008.
- “Glendale’s Got Art!”:
This magazine-style show features educational art and cultural activities in Glendale.
- “Glendale’s Historic Hidden Treasures”:
This unique program weaves a tapestry of Glendale’s historic buildings and arts and culture. Viewers step back in time and explore several properties located within just a few miles of Glendale’s historic downtown. Many of the storytellers interviewed for the TV show are lifelong Glendale residents with decades of connections to the buildings and properties.
- “This Is Glendale”:
Viewers get a comprehensive look at the city of Glendale. Tour the city’s top three destinations including Westgate City Center, Arrowhead and Historic Downtown Glendale. Preview Glendale’s special events and award-winning festivals, outdoor recreation, arts and culture and historical roots.
- “2008 Glendale Jazz & Blues Festival”:
The 2008 Glendale Jazz & Blues Festival celebrates the 25th anniversary. Feature interviews include: Jazz vocalist Dennis Rowland, blues musician Bob Corritore and jazz artist Papa John DeFrancesco. Take a tour of the Gibson Guitar VIP bus and go behind the scenes with Glendale’s award-winning Deer Valley High School Skyhawk Band.
- “Glendale Glitters 2007”:
Viewers can enjoy a favorite city holiday with a special guest appearance by Glendale resident and American Idol winner Jordin Sparks. Feel the holiday spirit as Jordin delights the crowd while singing two Christmas songs a cappella. Enjoy a feature story on a popular shop in historic downtown Glendale where it is Christmas all year long. Feel the energy and excitement as 1.4 million twinkle lights are turned on to dazzle the city.
