 |
Meyer has more than 31 years of experience in the television industry. He joined Glendale 11 in 1995. Meyer got his start in broadcasting in Westlake Village, Calif. in 1978 as a master control operator playing Showtime Entertainment programming to a small community before it was on satellite. Three years later, he became a cable system manager in Ojai, Calif. and helped develop local programming for the only cable channel in the community. In 1985, Bill moved to Arizona and began working in television management and training. In 1990, he assisted in the merger and reorganization of several city cable stations in the Valley. That job required being involved in the production of more than 100 original new shows on a monthly basis that were televised to more than 600,000 cable subscribers Valleywide. Meyer has received two NATOA (National Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors) awards and a Telly. |
