GRPSTC Flashover Chamber - the Swede Flashover simulator offers firefighters the opportunity to observe fire behavior and signs that lead to the flashover phenomenon in a controlled setting. This real-world simulation provides fire department personnel with the knowledge and skills to deal with a flashover situation during a real event.

GRPSTC Burn Tower - the five-story training tower is designed to meet a variety of public safety training needs. In addition to a live-fire training room fueled by natural gas, instructors can create hallway flashover and attic fire scenarios. The advanced technology incorporated in to the Kidde natural gas props provide for quick, easy control over the conditions. Designed with interior and exterior walkways, stair cases and stand pipe, the training tower floor layouts can be changed easily to present a variety of access and hose lay management challenges.

GRPSTC Basement House - this training prop is set up like a typical residential home found in any neighborhood. It includes garage and kitchen natural gas burn props and is used for live fire training, search and rescue and hose-stream management training.

Drivers Track - used by both fire department and police department personnel. Driver instructors teach emergency response driving techniques. Instruction includes both classroom and a hands-on driving course that challenges reaction time, while providing the student with an opportunity to know the limitations of their response vehicles. The drivers track is multi-facet, as various courses can be set up.  The track includes a 150’ x 320’ skid pad used to simulate adverse weather conditions.

GRPSTC Shooting Range - the shooting range includes both rifle and pistol ranges for training and qualification weapons training. In addition to the rifle and pistol ranges, there is a tactical range. The shooting range building includes two classrooms, indoor and outdoor weapons cleaning and maintenance rooms, a Multiple Interactive Learning Objective (MILO) room that provides police officers with state of the art weapons training by challenging their response to emergent, dynamic situations requiring the use of weapons.

GRPSTC Single Family House Ventilation Prop - the residential ventilation prop was built with both pitched and flat roofs. The flat roof includes a parapet wall designed at two different heights. Firefighters use the inside of the building for a variety of training purposes including save-your-own training and entanglement drills.

GRPSTC Underground Confined Space - the underground confined space training prop is designed with five manhole entrances strategically located along 350 feet of underground tunnel. Rescuers are presented with a variety of elevation and space issues during technical rescue training scenarios. The underground maze of tunnels range in size from 63 inches to 24 inches and incorporate elevation changes of several feet as the rescuers travel through the confined space tunnels. Instructors and rescue personnel can enter the underground confined space prop through an outside stairwell if a real emergency presents itself during a training exercise.

GRPSTC CPAT Room – the Candidate Physical Ability Testing (CPAT) room was built to provide a climate controlled environment for firefighter entry level testing. Fire Departments from throughout the Valley use this indoor facility to provide the basic physical testing requirements of their departments.

GRPSTC Defensive Tactics Room - defensive tactics instructors use this room to instruct the various defensive tactics which include  handcuffing, takedowns, control hold, and baton strikes. A portion of the room has a wrestling style mat on the floor and the walls around the mat are padded. In addition to the mat, there is a detention like cell for use in cell-extraction training.

GRPSTC Railroad Tanker - made possible through a partnership with BNSF Railroad and Ameri-Gas, the railroad props include a low pressure railcar, a box car and a railroad crossing complete with working crossing arms. The railcars are set up with propane burners to simulate railcar fires. Fire Department Hazardous Materials (HazMat) Teams from throughout the Valley use these props for hazard mitigation training.

GRPSTC Natural Gas/Propane Field - this prop area includes a variety of natural gas and propane props. HazMat Teams can conduct live-fire training on both propane and natural gas migration fields, a natural gas over- the- road tanker prop, bell hole fire, car fire and a regulator fire. Propane props include the railcars and a commercial propane filling station.

Glendale, AZ - CVP Commercial Ventilation Prop – this prop was designed and is being built by firefighters. The 42-by-42 roof structure was built with commercial roof operations in mind and when finished will include a 16-by-16 section of the roof that can be adjusted to change roof pitches.
