City of Glendale Fire Department Public Information Office
The Glendale Fire Department Public Information Office uses a pro-active approach to communicate with the public important safety messages on behalf of the department and those who serve in it. This is done by working closely with all aspects of media including; television, print, web, and radio. In 2007 Glendale Fire was featured in well over 100 print and broadcast stories, allowing many of our safety messages to be heard by potentially everyone in the valley. Among several 2007 safety campaigns embraced was the "CCC" (continuous chest compressions) campaign. CCC is a form of CPR with a recorded increase in adult survival rates compared to traditional CPR. Glendale Fire, with the help of Midwestern University, started its campaign and began to offer free CCC-CPR classes to everyone in the City of Glendale and Valley. The Glendale Fire Department Public Information office remains committed to sharing the same caring safety messages that is shown by example everyday by the men and women of the Glendale Fire Department.
