Healthier & Safer Lives Program
This program is looking to reach out to the individuals in the community that would otherwise not schedule an appointment with their primary physician and /or do not have a primary physician.
This campaign will increase the quality of life for individuals through:
- Blood pressure checks
- Glucose checks
- Nutritionist recommendations
Our initial audience will be the seniors in the city of Glendale. We feel that the seniors in the community are, for the most part, living on a fixed income and cannot afford the expense of a doctor visit for the very basic blood pressure check and glucose check.
One of the primary missions of fire departments throughout the United States is to prevent injuries, loss of life, property damage and accidents. The Glendale Fire Department is taking an aggressive approach to educating our community on life safety issues. The proactive way this mission is accomplished is through community prevention and education.
It is the goal of the Glendale Fire Department to provide every citizen in the city of Glendale with the opportunity to receive fire and life safety education.
