From the Heart is a voluntary, program to help local human service agencies assist Glendale residents of all ages.  For every dollar that you donate, the BHHS Legacy Foundation will provide a 50-cent match for the benefit of our community.

One dollar can make a world of difference. Through the generosity of Glendale residents donating $1 at a time, elderly and disabled citizens will have hot, nutritious meals delivered to their homes, parents will receive job training, and children will have more after-school activities. These are just some of the ways social service agencies use cash grants from Glendale's From the Heart program.

How it works: Under the program, residents may add $1 to their monthly city utility bill payment.  Donations from residents have totaled as high as $128,793 in a single year.

Since From the Heart began six years ago, nearly $1 million has been raised to provide financial grants to qualified social service agencies.
