Property Management: The City buys and sells property as a component of City projects. This includes roads and alleys. The City also needs property for things you don’t see, such as underground water and sewer lines. There is a technical aspect to real-estate transactions that includes preparing maps and legal descriptions of the real-estate parcels, negotiating the purchase and sale terms, reviewing title, appraisal and environmental reports, coordinating escrows and other aspects of buying and selling property.
