- How to Set Your Water Timer –
Watering efficiently is the easiest way to reduce your water bill. This class provides hands-on instruction on how long and how often to run your water system as well as practice setting timers using actual timers.

- Proper Care of Desert Lawns –
Includes the installation and care of winter lawns and takes the mystery out of winter grass over-seeding by providing maintenance, watering, and troubleshooting tips.
Monday, October 5th , 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
- Desert Vegetable Gardening Made Easy -
Learn how to grow vegetables in your backyard from garden author, Mary Irish.
Monday, October 19th , 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
- Pruning of Trees and Shrubs –
Learn proper timing and techniques for pruning your trees and shrubs.
Tuesday, October 27th , 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
- Earth Friendly Backyard –
Find out how plants can reduce your energy and water bill, get rid of unwanted grass, direct 7,000 gallons of rain water to your plants each year, and turn your kitchen waste into healthy soil.
Wednesday, November 4th , 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
- Garden Walk and Talk –
Take a casual stroll through the Glendale Xeriscape Demonstration Garden with Water Conservation staff and learn about the unique adaptations that allow water efficient plants to survive and thrive in the low desert. Close-toed shoes, hat, and water are recommended.
