Community Partnerships - Neighborhood Partnership Office
About Us
The Neighborhood Partnership Office is responsible for the administration of the Glendale University, the Homeowners’ Association Training Academy, the Neighborhood Improvement Grants Program, the Community Mediation Program and the Community Volunteer Program.
It is a “one-stop” center for Glendale neighborhoods, homeowners’ associations and community groups who are seeking assistance on neighborhood and community issues, the coordination of special events and volunteer projects, the distribution of important information to neighborhood residents, the implementation of neighborhood capital improvements and conflict resolution.
Over the past 12 years, the Neighborhoods Office has demonstrated an impressive body of work that reflects accomplishments in all three areas of the city’s strategic priorities, safety, service and quality of life.
- Registered neighborhoods have climbed to190 neighborhood associations and this involvement of neighbors knowing neighbors helps improve community safety.
- Approximately $7.56 million has been distributed as neighborhood improvement grants, which enhance quality of life for the whole city.
- In the Community Volunteer Program, during the last FY, 2,250 volunteers have donated 9,454 volunteer hours that represent $166,500 in value. Since the program began, a total of 12,321 volunteers have participated, giving 45,425 hours for a dollar value of $679,750. Each of these projects rely on the participation of Glendale residents and as a result, the city has a developed a reliable corps of community volunteers who routinely donate time to enhance the quality of life in Glendale.
