Habitat for Humanity
On Saturday, June 30, Habitat for Humanity Valley of the Sun dedicated three new Habitat Homes in Glendale. Thanks to this organization, three more families now have their first home. Glendale now has 35 Habitat Homes, all in the City Center area, with an approximate assessed value of more than $3 million.
Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to eliminate substandard housing and build affordable housing and community partnerships that promote spiritual values and individual responsibility. There are four criteria to quality for a Habitat for Humanity home, including need, ability to pay an interest-free mortgage, willingness to participate in the construction process and the ability to legally work within the United States.

Parking Garage – Birds-eye-view of construction. When the first vehicles pull in to park in the new downtown Glendale parking garage this winter, they will be pulling into a structure boasting 11,000 square feet of retail and office space with five parking levels and beautiful brick façade reminiscent of Glendale’s roots. But you can see it now in its infancy thanks to the up-above view offered at a new viewing station.
The viewing station, located in the McCarthy offices on the third floor of the Bank of America Building (5800 W. Glenn Drive, suite 330), will be open from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Friday. This station will provide great views of the project during all of its critical stages. For project information, call 1 (877) 203-0042 or click here.
