Community Action Program - Utility Deposit Program
Can Pay:
Utility deposits for electric, gas, and water services.
Water deposits can be paid only between May through October if the client’s home has an evaporative (swamp) cooler as its only source of cooling. A home inspection will be conducted to verify this.
Eligibility:
Household income for most recent 30 days, to include the date of application.
Must be at or below 150% of poverty.
A household may receive assistance from this fund only once in a 12-month period.
There must be verification that the household has experienced one of the following crises: loss of income, an unforeseen circumstance that increased expenditures making it difficult to meet monthly expenses, or a condition that endangers the health or safety of the household.
