Community Action Program - Rent and Mortgage Programs

Eviction Rent Payment/Mortgage Payment

There must be verification that the household has experienced one of the following crisis situations: a separation of the family due to domestic violence; loss of income; unforeseen circumstances that increased expenditures making it difficult to meet monthly expenses; a condition which endangers the health or safety of the household.

Eligibility:

  1. Household must be within income guidelines.

    Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) - at or below 50% of the median
    CDBG funding provides support for eviction prevention and mortgage foreclosure prevention

    Emergency Shelter Grants (ESG) programs - at or below 30% of the median
    ESG funding provides support for eviction prevention

    Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) - Federal Poverty Guidelines
    TANF funding provides support for eviction prevention

  2. There must be verification that the household has experienced one of the following crisis situations: (1) Loss of income; (2) Unforeseen circumstances; (3) Health or Safety.

  3. Must not have received rent or mortgage assistance from any type of former funds in the last 12 months.

Applications for rent or mortgage are taken by appointment only. Please call (623) 930-2460 for appointment information. Appointments are limited and based on availability of funding.
