I understand that I must attend a three-hour basic training class before I can be considered for an appointment. I understand that if appointed, my attendance at all regularly scheduled meetings is critical. The City Council may appoint a replacement for Board/Commission members who are absent for two consecutive meetings, or who miss three regularly scheduled meetings in a calendar year.

I also understand that as part of the application process, the City Council or a subcommittee thereof may consider my application in closed executive sessions. While Arizona law requires that I be given prior notice of such discussions, in order to facilitate the efficient processing of my application, I agree to one of the following options:
